Always featuring a huge selection of handmade goods from the area’s most talented designers, Porter Flea returns to Chestnut Hill in 2014 for the fourth annual summer market.
The summer fun keeps rolling Saturday, June 7th, from 10am to 5pm with a free admission artisan market showcasing the region’s best designers of modern handmade apparel and accessories, home goods, furniture, jewelry, prints, posters, and paper goods — all backed by a crafty DJ and the city’s best food trucks. Porter Flea is also proud to bring back the Porter Pantry, an artisan food market featuring packaged consumable goods from several local makers, millers, and bakers. The Track One Building is located around the corner from Fort Houston, Seed Space, and Zeitgeist, and this year’s summer market coincides with the First Saturday Art Crawl. Metro police and private security will provide traffic direction and oversight.
Porter Flea’s summer market gets underway with an exclusive (21+) Preview Market in the Track One Building at 4th and Chestnut from 6pm to 9pm on Friday night, June 6th. Preview Market ticket holders will get first dibs on the market’s hottest items and the opportunity to meet with vendors in a smaller setting with exclusive Preview night surprises.
Want in? Here's a friendly reminder from the Porter Flea team that vendor applications for the June market will close on Monday, March 31st, at midnight. All artists, designers, and makers of handmade wares welcome to apply!
First organized in July, 2011, by Jessica Maloan, Brent Elrod, and Katie Vance, Porter Flea was named Best Artisan Market by the Nashville Scene in 2012 and has earned additional praise from Forbes Travel Guide, The City Paper, Southern Living, NATIVE, The Nashville Ledger, The Murfreesboro Post, StyleBlueprint, Etsy, and several local bloggers.
