Oh, what bliss! What complete and utter bliss to be in the quiet of nature. Less than 24 hours after our arrival in Portland, Ruthie and I ran out of the city and into the powerful rush of the falls. The pounding water echoed my heartbeat as it fell to the rocks below. Tiny droplets of water hanging on to every leaf as if they, too, did not want to let go of natures enchantment. These are the places I am made up of; these are the places where I feel most complete. And since our departure, I feel it calling me back. This insatiable wanting; this magic.
Wildness, my lover, I yearn for you.
